Born and raised on the Cumbrian fells in England, Carltonlima Emma embodies the steadfast demeanor and sure-footedness characteristic of the Fell Pony. For over a decade, she served as the trusted mount and companion of HM Queen Elizabeth II, excelling as a show horse and broodmare, and participating in royal pageants.
After retiring from competition, Emma and the Queen were often seen riding on the grounds of Windsor Castle with close family and friends. Following the Queen’s passing, Carltonlima Emma attended the funeral procession, with one of the Queen’s signature headscarves draped across her saddle—a fitting tribute to their special partnership.
In addition to her flowing mane and tail, straight leg feathers, and rich black coat that are trademarks of her breed, Carltonlima Emma is adorned with a satiny purple and silver sash bearing her name.
A portion of the proceeds from this model will be donated to the Fell Pony Society and Girlguiding. HM Queen Elizabeth II was a patron of the Fell Pony Society and a supporter of all things equestrian.
