Meet Sporður frá Beargei, affectionately pronounced as "Spor-thur fra Bear-gei." This red dun pinto Icelandic Stallion made his journey from Iceland to Kentucky in 2013, bringing with him an impressive set of credentials. Sporður is a five-gaited stallion, boasting show-stopping gaits, remarkable bloodlines, and a warm and friendly personality. As both an athlete and a breeding stallion, Sporður is leaving a lasting imprint by passing on not only his unique coloring but also his powerful build to his offspring in both the U.S. and Iceland. Much like their sire, many of his progeny have earned the esteemed rating of "first prize" in breed evaluations – the highest accolade achievable, assessed based on conformation and movement within the breed. Sporður's legacy extends beyond his own remarkable attributes, making him a noteworthy figure in the Icelandic horse breeding community.
Lets be honest, he looks very much like Abigail’s Mascot horse ‘Sporkle’ and in her own collection has been lovingly nicknamed Spronkle.
